Having participated in the Army’s ROTC program at Georgia Tech, Bill, Jr. was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant at graduation. He was called to active duty in 1965 and after completing a tour of duty in Vietnam, he returned to Bristol to join his father, William C. Burriss, Sr. in the operations of BurWil Construction Company.
After a very successful career of overseeing the company’s growth and managing the company’s operations, he stepped down as President in 2002. He continues to serve as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
